Watercolor Abstractions

We are hostages of contrasts and opposites. The "Watercolor Abstractions" series presents my perception of physical realities. A line, a spiral, a circle, a triangle, a trapezoid – these are the geometric foundations from which more complex forms are composed. The titles of my works give hints about what they are. Abstract works always stimulate the imagination, evoking associative sequences: vinyl – gramophone record – spiral, transience, he and she, world map, blue music...

This is my attempt to show the ordinary, familiar, and mundane from a different perspective. These works contain other elements – color and rhythm, and this is my harmony, my philosophy. By detaching from the material world, I use abstraction to return the viewer to the objects that are ordinary in our world, as our thinking operates with templates. Yet, the world around us extends far beyond the limits of perception.
